CQC Quality Statements

Generic Quality Statements do not survive CQC scrutiny. Yours must reflect your actual service, regulated activities, client groups, age range, risks, governance, and day-to-day delivery.

Quality Statements

Why most providers
struggle with Quality Statements?

Most providers do not fail because they have no policies. They fail because they cannot clearly evidence how their service delivers safe, effective, person-centred care.

Quality Statements are not marketing statements. They are regulatory commitments. They must demonstrate how your service operates, how risks are managed, how people are protected, and how governance is embedded across your organisation.

Many providers submit generic, copy-paste statements that sound professional but do not reflect their actual service model. That creates a major credibility gap when CQC asks for evidence, interviews leaders, or reviews operational practice.

  • ~ Most Common Reasons
  • Generic wording that does not match the service model
    1
  • Statements not linked to regulated activities
    2
  • No clear connection between policies, practice, audits, outcomes, and governance
    3
  • Failure to address specific service user groups or age populations
    4
  • Weak evidence mapping against CQC evidence categories
    5
  • Statements written for compliance appearance, not operational reality.

Our solution
Bespoke Quality Statements.

We translate CQC expectations into clear, provider-specific Quality Statements that show how your organisation delivers care safely, lawfully, and effectively.

Our Quality Statements service is designed for providers who need their CQC compliance narrative to be accurate, structured, and inspection-ready. We do not produce generic statements. We write them around your business model, regulated activities, client group, age range, service pathway, staffing model, governance systems, and risk profile.

We review your service model and write Quality Statements that explain how your organisation meets CQC expectations across the relevant key questions. Each statement is written from the provider’s perspective and reflects how your service intends to operate or already operates in practice. The objective is simple: give CQC a clear, credible, and evidence-ready picture of your service from day one.

What are CQC Quality Statements?

Quality Statements are the commitments providers are expected to meet under CQC’s Single Assessment Framework. They sit under the five key questions: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. They explain what good care should look like from the provider’s perspective.

Are Quality Statements the same as the old KLOEs?

No. CQC has replaced the previous KLOEs, prompts, and ratings characteristics with Quality Statements under the Single Assessment Framework. This means providers need to update how they present compliance, governance, and evidence.

Do I need bespoke Quality Statements for CQC registration?

For many providers, yes. Bespoke Quality Statements help explain how your proposed service will meet CQC expectations based on your regulated activities, service user groups, staffing model, governance systems, and risk management approach.

Can I use generic Quality Statements?

You can, but it is a weak strategy. Generic statements often fail to reflect your actual service model. CQC expects your evidence and governance arrangements to match what you say you do. If your statements are vague, your evidence base becomes harder to defend.

Will you write Quality Statements for my specific service type?

Yes. We tailor the statements around your service type, whether you operate in domiciliary care, supported living, care homes, GP services, private clinics, diagnostics, mental health, aesthetics, online healthcare, or another regulated health or social care model.

Can this service help existing providers preparing for inspection?

Yes. This service is particularly useful for existing providers who need to refresh their compliance narrative, align documentation with the Single Assessment Framework, or prepare managers and staff for CQC assessment.
